How to get a Green Checkmark in WhatsApp?#

In WhatsApp, a Green Checkmark is an icon that helps WhatsApp users distinguish a legitimate company account from a fake one. It indicates that the business account has been verified by WhatsApp and that it belongs to the brand it claims to represent. Only verified business accounts receive a green checkmark.

There are two types of business accounts in WhatsApp: standard and verified

1. Standard business account#

This type of account is given to any WhatsApp Business API user. When communicating with a regular business account, the customer sees only the company's phone number.

2. Verified business account#

Verified business account is an account that has passed WhatsApp verification.

In the profile of such an account, as well as in a chat with it, you can see the displayed name (company name) of the official WhatsApp business account and a green check mark next to it. The company name will be displayed in correspondence, even if the user has not added it to his address book.
