How my WhatsApp number is protected from blocking?#
Security and resistance to blocking are important aspects of working with WhatsApp via GREEN-API.
We have made sure that each number connected to our service has a high level of protection against possible restrictions from WhatsApp.
Unique connection for each instance#
Each instance connects to WhatsApp via a unique IP address in the IPv4
format.
This means that each user of the service uses their own, isolated connection channel to WhatsApp.
This approach has a key advantage: the activity of other users of the system (including that which violates the platform's rules, such as spam mailings) does not affect your instance and number in any way. Even if neighboring instances are engaged in suspicious or malicious activity, this does not increase the risk of blocking your WhatsApp number.
What is IPv4 and why is it needed?#
IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4) is a widely used network protocol that provides identification and addressing of devices on the Internet.
It assigns each device a unique 32-bit IP address, for example: 46.101.109.139
This unique IP address becomes the "digital address" of your instance on the network, and by isolating it from other IP addresses, it increases security and reduces the likelihood of automatic bans from WhatsApp.
Why is this important?#
WhatsApp actively monitors and blocks suspicious activity, especially mass mailings, fake accounts, and violations of the user agreement.
When several users are connected through a single shared IP address, one violator can cause a ban on all those connected through this address.
With GREEN-API, you are protected from this risk because:
- Your instance uses its own IP;
- The activity of other clients does not affect your number;
- The likelihood of accidental bans is minimized.
